Kraut and Kimchi Classes

Sauerkraut is traditionally known as a German food that accompanies a kransky. However sauerkraut has ties to many different places as an ancient way to preserve fresh cabbage in order for people to enjoy in the winter months. In this class you will learn about the history of Krauts and Kimchi and see why they are making a come back in today's society as the next superfoods. Take part in a practical demonstration, with participants able to get a hands on experience. A take home instruction booklet is provided, as well as tasting of each ferment; enabling participants to feel confident in making krauts and Kimchi in there own homes. The class will examine the facts on gut health, exploring the way in which our Western diet and modern lifestyle can impact on our health.

Kombucha Classes

Come along and learn about the history of fermented foods, the health benefits of this "Elixir or life" and get hands on with the finer detail of making your very own Kombucha. Walk away with your very own Kombucha starter pack for $20 which includes a starter culture, Kombucha cover as well as your own jar to house your newest family addition! All participants will also receive a recipe and troubleshooting worksheet with further tips and common issues people can encounter.
